Common Types of Delivery Locations

The GlobalForwarding.com team shares come common types of delivery locations in this week's blog!

Business Addresses

Most trucking companies define a business as any active organization that is zoned commercial or industrial and is open to the public during normal business hours.

Shipping to Trade Shows

Shipments of exhibition supplies, including exhibition booths or stalls, picked-up or delivered to a tradeshow are subject to an additional charge. To ensure timely delivery, provide the tradeshow or convention name and the booth number when booking your shipment.

Shipping to a Residence

Residence refers to locations that are not zoned commercial or industrial and are not open to the public during normal business hours. It's important to note that this would include businesses located at a private residence, farm or ranch.

Pick ups and deliveries to residences are made at the front door, back door or inside the garage. Drivers must typically have access to street parking. Residential pick up service may require an additional day of transit.
